Alémais x Sophie Wahlquist: The Resort 2027 Artist Prints
The Alémais Sophie Wahlquist collaboration is the artist-drawn part of Resort 2027: three prints (the Sophie floral, the Florero ceramic motif and the Teo bouquet) made with the Mallorca-based artist Sophie Wahlquist, and found on shirts, midi dresses, wide-leg pants and a tee on the Alémais brand page. Here is who she is, what each print looks like and how to wear it.
Key facts

Who is Sophie Wahlquist?
Sophie Wahlquist is a multidisciplinary artist, born in 1983, who studied for a BFA at Parsons and has been based in Mallorca since 2023. Her subjects are mostly flora and fauna. For Alémais that matters because the label has always worked with artists, and its prints read as paintings first and patterns second; our Alémais history explains that habit. Wahlquist's botanical eye fits it naturally.
The three prints
Sophie: the floral jacquard
The Sophie print is a floral woven as a jacquard in a silk and viscose blend with a little stretch, mostly in blue. Because the pattern is woven, the flowers have a slight relief and a soft sheen that a flat print does not. It comes as a shirt with bespoke metal buttons, an oversized midi shirtdress, a tailored wide-leg pant with a front pleat and a below-the-knee skirt with drawstring ties and charm ends. A linen Sophie Sundress carries the same floral in a lighter, washable cloth.
Florero: ceramic motifs
Florero is a photographic print of ceramic motifs, the closest thing in the collection to a still life. It appears on an ivory European linen sundress with a square neckline and shirred back, and in green on a silk shirt and matching silk wide-leg pant with drawstring ties.
Teo: the bouquet tee
Teo is a bouquet print on a relaxed yellow cotton tee with dropped shoulders and a ribbed crewneck. It is the easiest entry point to the collaboration and the only piece in it sized in letters.
The pieces to buy
1. Sophie Shirtdress
The Sophie Shirtdress is the full statement: oversized, camp-collared, with a V opening and corded feature buttons on the jacquard.
2. Sophie Shirt
The Sophie Shirt has bespoke metal buttons at collar and cuffs, and pairs with the pant for a print-on-print suit.
3. Sophie Pant
The Sophie Pant is tailored, with a fixed waistband, front pleat and side pockets, so it reads as trousers first and holiday wear second.
4. Sophie Skirt
The Sophie Skirt sits below the knee with drawstring ties and charm ends, and dresses up with a plain knit.
5. Sophie Sundress
The Sophie Sundress puts the floral on European linen with spaghetti straps and back shirring, and the brand recommends a cold hand wash.
6. Florero Sundress
The Florero Sundress is ivory linen with the ceramic print, a square neckline and adjustable straps.
7. Florero Silk Shirt
The Florero Silk Shirt, relaxed with elbow-length sleeves, looks best with denim and a leather sandal.
8. Teo Bouquet Tee
The Teo Bouquet Tee is relaxed cotton with a ribbed crewneck, sized XXS to XXL.
How to wear the Wahlquist prints
- Wear the Sophie Shirt and Pant together for dinner, with a flat sandal and one gold earring.
- Break the set by day: the Sophie Shirt over white jeans, the Sophie Pant with a plain T-shirt.
- Give the Florero Silk Shirt a pale base so the ceramic motif stays the focus.
- Use the Teo tee with the Florero Silk Pant for a relaxed version of the print story.
The jacquard pieces and the Florero silks are dry clean only, while the linen sundresses and the Teo tee take a cold hand wash. Alémais uses Australian sizes, which match UK sizes one for one: an AU 8 is a UK 8 and a US 4. Knitwear runs in letters from XXS to XXL. Every piece carries the brand's own fit note, so check it before you choose. Full tables are in our Alémais size guide.
