The house
Ece Ege trained at ESMOD in Paris and is the creative director; her sister Ayse runs the company. The first collection was a small run of white poplin shirts, followed in 1993 by a full ready-to-wear collection shown in Paris. The studio and workshops are in Istanbul, the boutique is in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, and in December 2013 the house won the third Jameel Prize at the Victoria and Albert Museum for its Istanbul Contrast couture pieces.
