Check one: the Ref number

Every piece carries a reference in the form season-style-colour, for example 262-010224-4020 for the Jacquard duffle coat in Sand. The first block is the season (262 is Autumn Winter 2026, 261 Spring Summer 2026, 252 Autumn Winter 2025), the second is the style and the third the colour. A seller who cannot photograph the label with a Ref that matches the house page, and a Ref whose season does not match the piece, is a seller to walk away from.

Check two: the composition

The house publishes the composition to the percentage: the Embroidered ankle-length wool coat in Black is 100% wool, the Silk shirt dress 100% silk, the Jacquard wool sweater in Light Red 80% wool and 20% viscose. Fakes are almost always polyester where the original is silk and acrylic where it is wool, and the label will say so, when it says anything. Compare the label to the product page.

Check three: the making

Genuine shoes state Made in Italy on the insole and sole, with calf leather linings, as on the Leather loafers in Tan and the Suede sneakers in Black. Genuine embroidered bags state Made in India on the interior label. A sneaker marked Made in China is not this house.

Check four: the surface

The embroidery is stitched into the cloth. On the Embroidered crepe blazer in Navy the 3-D flowers are gold bullion, metal thread with real weight, and the sequins on the Embroidered East-West bag in Sky are sewn in clusters. Fakes print the effect and glue the sequins. Jacquard is woven, so the pattern shows in reverse on the inside; a printed copy is blank on the back.

Check five: the seller and the price

The house sells through its own stores and site, department stores and authenticated retailers. There is no outlet and there are no discount codes. A new-with-tags current-season piece at half price is the most reliable sign of a fake there is.

Check six: the jewellery

The jewellery is handmade in brass with resin, glass, enamel and semi-precious stone, so small differences between pieces are normal; what is not normal is lightness. The Long pendant necklace in Old Brass has weight, and the painted enamel on the Handmade painted bracelet in Lilac is under a clear coat, not a decal.

The dupes

The suede sneaker with the creased toe is the most copied piece, and the copies exist because the original is $730 rather than $2,000. The scarf bag and the jacquard envelope are copied in printed polyester. There is no good dupe for the embroidery. If the budget is the issue, the house’s own lower-priced pieces, the silk squares and the merino, are the better route, and the sale page covers the cheapest pieces in stock.
