Messika Bracelet Guide: Bangles, Chains, Cords and Sizing
A Messika bracelet is where the house’s moving diamonds make the most sense, because your wrist is always in motion. Coveti stocks 107 Messika bracelets on the Messika brand hub and across our fine bracelets edit. The piece most people picture first is the Move Classique Bracelet in 18K White Gold, Large Model, three diamonds sliding in a gold cage on a fine chain.
Messika bracelets come in four main types: fine diamond chains, rigid bangles, coloured cord bracelets and flexible tennis lines. They are made in 18 carat gold with diamonds, typically G colour and VS clarity. At Coveti they cost from around $1,300 to around $32,650, with a median of $5,110. Chains and cords are One Size, while bangles come in wrist sizes XS to XXL.
Why Messika works so well on the wrist
The Move motif was made for hands. A gold cage holds diamonds that slide freely, so every time you reach for a cup, type and gesture, the stones shift and catch the light. On a necklace you see this in a mirror. On a bracelet you see it all day.
Valerie Messika founded the house in Paris in 2005 and still designs every collection. Her background in her father Andre Messika’s diamond business shows in the bracelets: fine chains carrying a few well-chosen stones, pave used to frame those stones, and a light build that lets you stack two to four pieces without weight. Our Messika jewellery guide covers the full story of the house.
The four types of Messika bracelet
Diamond chain bracelets
These are fine gold chains with a central motif. Move Uno, Move Classique, Joy, Gatsby, Fiery, Lucky Move, Lucky Eye and D-Vibes all come in this form. They are One Size and close with a clasp, so there is nothing to measure.
The Move Uno Bracelet in 18K Pink Gold has a single 0.02 carat moving diamond and is around $2,630 at Coveti. The Joy Brilliant-Cut Bracelet in 18K Yellow Gold sets a 0.10 carat halo diamond on the chain at around $2,570. For more sparkle, the Move Classique Pave Bracelet in 18K Pink Gold, Large Model carries 0.65 carats at around $8,440.
D-Vibes is the most graphic chain. Inspired by Valerie Messika’s passion for music, it reworks the diamond riviere with gold motifs between the diamonds. The small model carries 0.45 carats at around $6,930 and the medium model 1.20 carats at around $15,740.
Bangles and rigid bracelets
Messika’s bangles are where wrist size matters. Move Noa, Move Romane, So Move, Moderniste, My Twin and Move Uno all offer rigid designs sold in letter sizes. Of our 107 Messika bracelets, 30 come in sizes.
Move Uno is the entry point. The Move Uno Bangle in 18K Pink Gold, Small Model carries 0.18 carats and is around $4,950 at Coveti, sized XS to XL. The large model, with 0.34 carats, is around $7,010.
Move Noa, named after Valerie Messika’s daughter, is the boldest. The Move Noa Bracelet in 18K White Gold, Small Model is around $12,010 with 0.11 carats. Pave versions climb quickly: the medium pave model carries 2.3 carats at around $32,650, the highest price in our bracelet edit.
So Move is sculptural and assertive. The So Move Bangle in 18K Yellow Gold is around $10,110 at Coveti, and the pave version, with 0.67 carats, is around $13,760. Moderniste, inspired by contemporary architecture, alternates polished gold with pave. Its large plain bracelet is around $14,230, and the fully paved model with 1.25 carats is around $31,060.
Cord bracelets
Cord bracelets are the most affordable Messika you can buy, and there are 23 of them at Coveti. A coloured cord carries a gold Move motif with diamonds.
Move Uno cords come in black, red, pink, beige, chocolate, khaki and turquoise, each at around $1,300. The Move Uno Black Cord Bracelet in 18K White Gold carries 0.06 carats.
Messika Care(s) cords put the Move motif on cream, beige, black, pink, yellow, orange and turquoise cords. Part of the profit from each piece goes to the Valerie Messika Foundation. The plain versions are around $2,570 and the pave versions around $3,520, such as the Messika Care(s) Black Cord Pave Bracelet in 18K White Gold with 0.26 carats.
Move Titanium also has two cord designs in natural and black titanium, from around $3,200. The darkest finish uses DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon), a coating used in aeronautics and Formula 1.
Tennis and link bracelets
Skinny is Messika’s flexible tennis line, built on an invisible system of gold nano-springs so the bracelet bends with the wrist. The Skinny Diamond Tennis Bracelet in 18K White Gold, Small Model carries 0.80 carats and is around $9,470 at Coveti.
Move Link takes the idea further. Each chain link holds a moving diamond, so the whole bracelet flickers. The Move Link Bracelet in white gold carries 1.03 carats at around $23,440. For a broader look at tennis styles, browse our diamond bracelets.
Messika bracelet sizing: XS to XXL
Most Messika bracelets are One Size. That covers chains, cords, tennis bracelets and the two anklets we carry. The sized pieces are the rigid bangles and structured bracelets, and they use letter wrist sizes.
At Coveti the sizes run from XS to XL on most designs. One piece, the Move Noa Half Pave Bracelet in white gold, small model, also comes in XXL. A few designs run shorter: the My Twin Bangle comes in XS to L, the yellow gold Move Uno bangles in XS to L, and the My Twin Pave Bangle in S to L.
To choose, measure your wrist just above the wrist bone with a soft tape, then check the size details on the product page before ordering. A rigid bangle should slide over the hand with a little effort and sit without spinning freely. If you fall between sizes, think about how you wear it. Stacked with other pieces, a closer fit keeps the bangle in place. Worn alone, a touch more room lets the moving diamonds travel.
Returns on Messika pieces follow the Coveti returns policy, so read it before you buy if you are unsure of a size.
Anklets and hand bracelets
Two less common styles sit within the bracelet range. The Fiery Anklet in 18K Pink Gold uses the pear cut, Valerie Messika’s favourite, with 0.26 carats at around $5,110. The Move Uno Pave Anklet in white gold carries 0.35 carats at around $5,800.
The Move Uno Hand Bracelet runs from the wrist to the finger, with 0.35 carats at around $6,440 in all three gold colours. It is an evening piece and pairs well with a bare ring finger.
How to build a Messika bracelet stack
Start with one anchor. A bangle gives structure, and a Move Classique chain gives the signature look. Then add contrast in texture. A rigid bangle next to a soft cord, a fine chain next to a tennis line.
Keep the motifs related. Move pieces from different lines share the same cage, so a Move Uno cord, a Move Classique chain and a Move Noa bangle look like a family. Our Messika Move collection guide explains how the Move lines differ, which helps when you are building around them.
Mixing gold colours is easy. Messika offers 18 carat white, yellow and pink gold, where pink gold is the house’s own rose gold alloy. At Coveti, 44 bracelets are white gold and 30 each are yellow and pink. A pink gold cord with a white gold bangle looks deliberate because the diamonds link them.
If you also wear a watch, put the bangle on the other wrist and keep the cords nearest the watch. Cords are softer and less likely to knock against a case.
What does a Messika bracelet cost?
Of our 107 Messika bracelets, 53 cost under $5,000, 27 cost between $5,000 and $10,000, and 27 cost $10,000 and above. That split is wider than for necklaces, because the bangles from Move Noa, Moderniste and Move Romane push the top end up.
Under $2,000 buys a Move Uno cord bracelet, a Move Uno mini chain at around $1,880 and the Move Uno children’s bracelet. Between $2,500 and $5,000 you have Joy, Gatsby, Fiery, Lucky Eye, Lucky Move, Messika Care(s) and the small Move Classique. From $5,000 to $10,000 you reach the large Move Classique, D-Vibes, the large Move Uno bangle and Skinny. Above $10,000 sit So Move, Move Noa, Move Romane, Moderniste and Move Link. Our Messika price guide compares prices across every category.
