Caring for Carla Zampatti Jewellery
Carla Zampatti lists the material for every brooch, and the Chainlink Necklace is made in 100% Brass Nano Plated. Keep feather brooches dry, away from water, oil and perfume, and never wash the feathers. Take chainlink pieces off before exercise, showers and swimming, keep them away from perfume and lotion, and wipe them with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
About Carla Zampatti
Carla Zampatti is the Sydney house that Carla Zampatti AC founded when she showed her first small collection in 1965. Born in Italy, she settled with her family in Western Australia in 1950, launched her label nationally in 1967 and set up Carla Zampatti Pty Ltd in 1970. The house is known for sharp tailoring, the jumpsuit and satin evening dresses, and its clothes have been worn by Princess Mary of Denmark, Dame Quentin Bryce, Julia Gillard, Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett. Carla Zampatti died in Sydney in April 2021. The label marked 60 years with its Ubiquity show at Australian Fashion Week in May 2025, and Head Designer Tanya Emon Beattie now leads the collections.
“The Chainlink Necklace has the clean Carla Zampatti line: one strong idea, cut precisely, and nothing extra. It is the kind of jewellery piece you reach for again and again.”
Gemma Deeks, Fashion Editor at Coveti
How Carla Zampatti Compares
Shoppers cross-shopping the Chainlink Necklace typically also consider Oroton, Aje, and Zimmermann. Oroton is the Australian alternative for polished gold-tone pieces. Aje leans sculptural and Zimmermann romantic. Carla Zampatti is the one to buy for jewellery designed to sit on its own tailoring. Explore the full Carla Zampatti collection at Coveti.
