Alex Perry is a Sydney eveningwear house founded in 1992 by the designer Alex Perry, known for corseted gowns and sculpted tailoring. Born Alexandros Pertsinidis in Sydney in 1963, he opened his first studio in Kensington and built the label on internal corsetry: bodices that hold their own shape and sit high on the waist. Ready-to-wear launched globally in 2013, Alex Perry Bride makes made-to-order wedding gowns, and the official size chart runs UK/AU 4-20, which is US 0-16. The house in brief

The studio moved from Kensington to Double Bay in 1994. A boutique in The Strand Arcade followed in May 2002; it closed in March 2020, and the house now sells online and through stockists such as Net-a-Porter, Mytheresa, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Harrods. Ready-to-wear launched globally in 2013 under the creative direction of Alex Perry and Trevor Stones. Alex Perry was also the only judge to sit on all ten series of Australia’s Next Top Model, and in Australia his name is on an eyewear range made with Specsavers.

On the red carpet, Heidi Klum wore Alex Perry at Cannes in May 2026, and Joey King wore Resort 2027 to the InStyle Imagemakers Awards in October 2026.

Signature fabrics and fits

The house is built on satin crepe, a weighty cloth with a soft sheen that holds a drape and a cupped bodice. Dry jersey goes into one-shoulder and halter gowns, stretch mesh into ruched columns, and lamb leather is cut like eveningwear.

Fall Winter 2026 adds 100% virgin wool suiting, shearling, leopard lace and devoré to that list.
