Casablanca Sneakers: Del Mar, Stade, Court and Khopesh Explained

0
The short answer. Casablanca makes its women’s sneakers in Portugal in four main families: the Del Mar, a late 1970s skate shoe named after a California skatepark; the Stade, a running shape in textile and vegan suede; the Court, a tennis shoe; and the Khopesh, a newer leather and textile lace-up. All fit true to size according to the brand and are labelled in UK sizes, where UK 3 is an EU 36.

Casablanca started as a silk shirt brand, but the sneakers have become one of the easiest ways into the house. They carry the same tennis-club colours as the clothes, they cost a fraction of a silk set, and they suit a lot more of a wardrobe. Casablanca has also designed sneakers with New Balance: the 327 in 2020 and the XC-72 in 2021, a shoe Charaf Tajer described as a sports car for your feet. The house’s own lines are below.

The Del Mar: Casablanca’s skate shoe

The Del Mar takes its name from the famous 1980s skatepark in California, and Casablanca styles it on the skate shoes of the late 1970s and early 1980s: canvas panelled uppers, rubber toe caps, a flat sole, chunky laces and contrast eyelets. It has become a signature in the core range. The current versions are 50% leather and 50% textile, made in Portugal.

The Stade: the runner

The Stade is a running silhouette in 80% textile and 20% vegan suede, which makes it the lightest of the four to wear. The White & Green Stade Sneaker and White & Navy Stade Sneaker are the easy colours; the Blue and Lime Stade Sneaker is the one to buy if you want people to ask.

The Court family: tennis shoes

Casablanca’s whole world is built around the tennis club, so it was always going to make a court shoe. The White and Green Court Championship Sneaker has a textile and leather upper with a woven Court tongue label and a contrast sole. The Black Court Sneaker is in suede, and the White Squash Indoor Sneaker borrows its shape from an indoor court shoe, with the monogram on the sides and a green sole.

The Khopesh

New for Autumn Winter 2026, the White & Green Khopesh Sneaker is a lace-up in 70% leather and 30% textile, with breathable textile uppers, ribbon loops and a rubber sole. It comes with a box and a branded dust bag.

Khopesh Lace-up Leather and textile A cleaner, dressier sneaker

How Casablanca sneakers fit

Casablanca says its sneakers fit true to size. They are labelled in UK sizes with a US size next to it; on Coveti we show the EU equivalent, so UK 3 is EU 36, UK 4 is EU 37, UK 5 is EU 38 and UK 6 is EU 39. The full chart is in our Casablanca size guide.

How to wear them

The house shows them with pleated tennis skirts, cropped polos and silk shorts, and that is still the best way in. A White and Green Stripe Pleated Mini Skirt with the green Del Mar is about as Casablanca as it gets. For the city, wear the Stade with straight jeans and a fine knit. For travel, the slides from the same collection, covered in our swimwear guide, pack flat in the same bag.

Caring for them

Wipe the leather with a soft damp cloth and let them dry naturally, away from a radiator. Brush the textile panels once dry. Keep the dust bag: it is part of how you prove a pair is genuine when you sell it on, which is covered in how to spot a fake Casablanca piece.
