Erdem Autumn Winter 2026 was shown at Tate Britain in London in February 2026 to mark the label’s 20th anniversary. The pieces to buy now are the brushed herringbone tailoring ($1,590 to $3,830), the ERDEM X Barbour waxed gilet coat ($8,500) and the Holiday 2027 velvet and sequin eveningwear, which runs from $2,710 to $7,000 on Coveti.

What was the Erdem Autumn Winter 2026 show about?

For his 20th anniversary, Erdem Moralioglu chose Tate Britain, the London gallery of British art, and staged what the house called The Imaginary Conversation. It was not a greatest-hits retrospective. Instead, characters from earlier collections came back with new cuts and new fabrics, as if they had all been seated at the same dinner table.

The cast list is long. Deborah Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, known as Debo, returned through a frayed-edge quilted opera coat, part of the house’s ongoing work with Chatsworth House. Maria Callas, the photographer Madame Yevonde and the novelist Radclyffe Hall were all referenced, as were Adele Astaire and the botanical painter Marianne North. Beribboned ballgowns and veiled tailoring nodded to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Panniered skirts and Elizabethan collars brought a Velazquez infanta mood to the room.

Then there were the bra tops worn with boyish jeans, a wink at Erdem’s own graduation show at the Royal College of Art. That mix of archive and irreverence is why the clothes feel easy to wear now. Raw edges, exposed seams and inside-out finishes sat next to brocade, lace, feathers and fringe. Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren and Glenn Close were in the audience.

If you are new to the house, my profile of who Erdem Moralioglu is and how the label began covers the background, and the full edit lives on the Erdem brand page on Coveti.

Erdem x Barbour: what is in the Autumn Winter 2026 collaboration?

Erdem and Barbour, the British outerwear company best known for its waxed jackets, first met on the runway for Spring Summer 2024. In January 2025 they followed with a five-piece outerwear capsule for Spring Summer 2025. It had four named jackets, the Beauflower, the Dhalia, the Clover and the Constance, each in sand and olive, plus a Re-Loved project in which 25 previously owned Beaufort jackets were restored with an oversized cord collar and silver eyelets.

The partnership carries on into Autumn Winter 2026. The clearest piece is the Erdem Embroidered Jacquard Gilet Coat at $8,500. It is an oversized waxed cotton coat with a wide corduroy collar, a centre front zip and popper fastenings. Inside sits a detachable gilet pieced from Erdem jacquard and cloque. On one sleeve, a threadwork label reads ERDEM X Barbour Autumn Winter 2026.

How to wear it: the gilet works on its own over a fine knit, which gives you two coats for one price. I would wear the full coat over the herringbone trouser below with flat boots for the country, and over a velvet dress for a December dinner where you still have to walk from the car. Barbour has sold its Erdem pieces through its own site in past seasons, so if you are hunting the earlier Beauflower and Constance jackets, look there; this gilet coat is the one Coveti stocks.

How to wear Erdem herringbone tailoring

The herringbone is the quiet headline of Autumn Winter 2026. Erdem cuts it from a traditional grey Italian-woven cloth and brushes it after weaving, so the silver-tone zigzag looks soft rather than sharp. The finish is deliberately undone: raw edges, inside-out seams and, on the blazer, a satin back.

The suit

The Herringbone Blazer ($3,830) is single-breasted and structured, with a front button closure. Pair it with the Herringbone Wide Leg Trouser ($1,590), which has structured pleats and a full leg. Together they cost $5,420, and they split well. The trouser is the most useful piece in the whole edit at that price; it sits under a cashmere crew in the day and under a sequin shirt at night.

The skirt

The Herringbone A-Line Pleated Midi Skirt ($3,830) is Erdem’s take on a deconstructed kilt. Wear it with the blazer for a full look, and with a fitted knit from the Erdem knitwear edit when you want it to read softer. There is also a simpler A-line herringbone midi skirt at $2,340 in the designer skirts range.

The dress

The Herringbone Draped Midi Dress ($2,900) is the easiest way into the trend. It is draped through the body, with a slim bow belt at the waist. Add black tights and a heeled boot for the office, then swap in a pearl earring for dinner. More dresses from this delivery sit in the designer midi dresses category.

Fringe and jacquard: the archive pieces

The Floral Fringe Jacquard Sleeveless Midi Dress ($4,950) takes a historic Erdem jacquard and layers it with long loops of yarn, so the dress moves when you walk. It is the piece that looks most like the runway. A matching Flora Fringe Jacquard Pencil Midi Skirt costs $3,460 if you would rather wear the fabric with a plain black knit. Both work under the Barbour gilet coat, and the contrast between waxed cotton and fringe is exactly the kind of clash the show was built on.

How to wear Erdem velvet for the party season

Holiday 2027 brings navy cotton velvet. The Embellished Velvet Midi Dress ($4,390) has a V-neckline outlined in crystal floral embroidery and a slim bow belt. It is the dress I would choose for Christmas lunch and again for New Year, because it needs nothing more than a good earring.

The Embellished Velvet Cropped Evening Jacket ($3,830) closes with a single crystal button at the neck. Wear it over the Velvet Draped Midi Skirt ($2,900) for a full navy look, then break it up with the herringbone trouser on a less formal night. Velvet over herringbone is the most wearable idea from the season, and it means two pieces earn their place in daywear and eveningwear.

How to wear Erdem sequins without looking costumed

The sequins this season are dense and rich, so keep everything around them plain. The Sequin Pyjama Trouser in red ($2,900) has a loose wide leg, a fitted waist and discreet pockets. Wear it with a plain black knit and it reads as tailoring with a spark, then add the Bloom Minaudiere for evening.

The Cropped Cardigan in black ($2,710) is alpaca blend knit with sequins, crystal floral embroidery and mother-of-pearl buttons. Knitwear sizing runs XXS to XXL. It goes over a slip, a velvet skirt and the herringbone dress alike.

For the big night, the Floral Applique Sequin Long Sleeve Gown ($7,000) is embroidered throughout with forest-green sequins, draped at the neckline and finished with a textured corsage at the waist. Erdem’s own copy describes it as midi length, so check the measurements on the product page before you plan shoes. The Floral Applique Sequin Midi Pencil Dress ($5,510) is the slimmer alternative. For longer gowns, browse Erdem evening gowns on Coveti, and for invitations that mention a ceremony, see my guide to Erdem for weddings, guests and brides.

Which Erdem bag goes with party sequins?

Choose a small bag that matches the shine. The Micro Bloom Bag in Silver Sequins ($2,340) has sequins on a satin base, a kid suede lining and a silver-tone cast brass handle. Erdem says each Bloom handle takes seven hours to produce using the lost wax casting method. With velvet, the Bloom Minaudiere in Black Velvet ($3,460) is the more formal choice. My Erdem Bloom bag guide compares every size, and the full range sits in designer mini bags.

For jewellery, the Stone Drop Earring in Black Agate ($1,180) pairs gold-tone brass, black agate and pearls, and it sits well against navy velvet. The wider choice is in designer earrings.

How much does Erdem Autumn Winter 2026 cost?

Erdem gives no instruction to size up, and its product fit notes describe the clothes as true to size. Coveti stocks ready-to-wear in UK sizes 4 to 18. UK 8 is US 4, EU 36 and IT 40; UK 10 is US 6, EU 38 and IT 42; UK 12 is US 8, EU 40 and IT 44.
