Who Is Sandra Mansour? The Beirut Designer Behind Romantic Evening Dresses
Who Is Sandra Mansour? The Beirut Designer Behind Romantic Evening Dresses
Sandra Mansour is a Lebanese fashion designer who founded her eponymous house in Beirut in 2010. The label makes bridal gowns and ready-to-wear, shows during Paris Fashion Week and is known for draped evening dresses, fine corsetry, glitter tulle and hand embroidery. You can shop the current ready-to-wear at Sandra Mansour at Coveti, with three collections live: Feline for Spring Summer 2027, The Quiet for Fall Winter 2026 and Arte for Spring Summer 2026. The designer
Sandra Mansour trained at Istituto Marangoni in Paris, finishing the fashion design course in 2009, and worked with Elie Saab before she launched her own label the following year. She is the principal designer of the house and runs it from Beirut. Her collections are built around a theme, often a poem, a book and a story, and the garment names follow that theme. The Spring Summer 2026 collection, Arte, echoes the verses of the poet Al-Massri, and every look carries a French title such as Voix Basse and Lettre à Soi.
What Sandra Mansour is known for
The house signature is soft structure. A Sandra Mansour gown usually starts with a fitted, corseted bodice and then lets the skirt fall in draped crepe georgette, satin and layers of tulle. Hand embroidery is used with restraint: flowers scattered over tulle on the Arte gowns, geometric mousseline work with crystals on The Quiet. The palette moves between ivory, earth tones and a few saturated colours such as emerald, violet and fuchsia.
Compared with the other Beirut couture houses, the look is quieter. Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad lean on crystal, beading and red-carpet volume. Sandra Mansour uses more drape and more tulle, and less sparkle. If you want to compare the two bigger names, our guide to Elie Saab vs Zuhair Murad covers both, and our edit of Lebanese designers places all three side by side.
The H&M collaboration
In 2020 Sandra Mansour became the first Arab designer to collaborate with H&M. The capsule brought her embroidered, romantic style to the high street and introduced the name to a much wider audience. Elie Saab, another Beirut designer, followed with his own H&M collection in 2026, so the two are easy to mix up: the 2020 collection was Sandra Mansour’s. The H&M pieces are no longer in stores, and the main line is where the current work sits.

2. Reverie Gown in Off White
Glitter tulle draped over the shoulders with an opening at the mid-back. It works for a winter wedding and a black-tie gala.
3. Fragment Dress in Off White
Off-shoulder tulle with hand-embroidered flowers. This is the romantic, bridal side of the house in a ready-to-wear dress.
4. Illume Dress in Emerald
An asymmetric drape over a fitted corset with a front slit, in deep emerald.
For sizing, read the Sandra Mansour size guide before you order: the house cuts to French sizes from FR34 to FR46.
