Anna-Karin Karlsson makes two cat-eyes, and they could not be more different. The Lioness 2.0 is a full acetate cat-eye under a gold top bar carrying a lion’s head with stone-set eyes, made in Japan; The Claw and the Nest Cat 2.0 is a pair of rimless, winged lenses held only by the claw temples, a shape between couture and comic book. The Lioness 2.0

The fuller of the two: a cat-eye acetate front, the gold bar with the lion, stone eyes set by hand. It is an evening frame, and at 159 mm across it suits a broad face and sits as an oversized statement on a narrow one. Wear it with a red lip and a column dress.

The Claw and the Nest Cat 2.0

The lighter: the lens is the frame, winged at the outer corner, drilled and held by the claw temples, 44 g. In Gold Violet the lens is a violet tint on gold claws; in Black Grey a grey tint on black. Slick the hair and keep the rest of the look quiet; the wing does the work.

The Cat

The frame Lady Gaga wore is discontinued and does not appear on the house store. Coveti does not carry it; the two frames above are the current cat-eyes.
