To find your glove size, measure around your dominant hand at the knuckles, thumb excluded, and read the result in inches against the chart below: 7 inches is a women’s size 7, which is usually an S to M. The same rule applies across our designer gloves, including the Nour Hammour Wrislet and Elonge, which come in S, M and L.
Key facts
- Measure around the knuckles of your dominant hand, thumb excluded
- Your glove size is that number in inches
- A women’s M is usually 7 to 7.5 inches (18 to 19 cm)
- Leather relaxes about half a size with wear
How to measure your hand
- Circumference. Wrap a soft tape measure around your dominant hand at its widest point, across the knuckles, with the thumb held out of the way. Keep the tape snug, not tight.
- Length. Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the crease at the base of your palm. If this is longer than your circumference, use the length to choose your size.

Leather, suede and knit
Leather gloves should feel snug on the first wear; they relax by about half a size. Suede gives slightly more than smooth leather. Knit cashmere stretches the most, so if you are between sizes, choose the smaller one. Lined gloves, such as Wrislet Suede Gloves in Chocolate, feel a fraction smaller than unlined ones.
Women’s and men’s sizes
Women’s gloves usually run from 6 to 8.5 inches and men’s from 8 to 10, so a woman with larger hands can often wear a men’s 8. Unisex knit gloves tend to follow the women’s S, M and L.
If you are between sizes
Choose the smaller size in unlined leather and in knits, which both give with wear, and the larger size in lined gloves, where the lining takes up room.
Long gloves
For opera and elbow lengths, also measure around the widest part of your forearm, because a long glove that is too tight there will slide down. Our guide to how to wear opera gloves covers the length to choose.
