Mackage Ski Suits 2026: The Auxane One-Piece in Performance Fabric and Denim

The Mackage ski suit for winter 2026/27 is the Auxane, a fitted one-piece rated to minus 20C with a removable fox fur collar, a detachable top jacket and RECCO, made in two versions: the Auxane-BX in performance fabric and the Auxane-BXDNM in denim. Shop both in the Mackage collection and our edit of women’s ski suits, starting with the Auxane-BX in Black. The earlier Satory-GLO and Elle-ZR suits are covered in our Mackage ski wear overview.

Key Facts

  • Two FW26 Mackage ski suits: Auxane-BX (Black, Off White-Black) and Auxane-BXDNM (Medium Denim).
  • Both are rated to minus 20C (minus 4F) and filled with 90% down and 10% feathers.
  • Both have a detachable top jacket, a detachable powder skirt, active storm cuffs with thumb holes, water-resistant zippers and RECCO.
  • The removable collar on both is labelled “Fur: 100% fox”.
  • Fit is fitted, Mackage’s closest cut. The top measures 48 cm (18.8 in) from shoulder to hem and the inseam is 79 cm (31 in).
  • Only the Auxane-BX adds interior adjustable elastic shoulder straps.

What is the Mackage Auxane ski suit?

Mackage builds the Auxane around its “Aesthetics That Protect” line, and you can read that phrase on the webbing tape at the collar. The suit is a fitted, down-filled one-piece with ski hardware throughout: water-resistant zippers at the centre front and pockets, RECCO technology, a detachable powder skirt and active storm cuffs with thumb holes. The top jacket is removable, so the upper half can come away from the bottoms.

The fur collar is removable too. With it on, the Auxane is a women’s ski suit with a fur collar from a brand best known for tailored down. With it off, the suit is a clean, fur-free one-piece.

Auxane-BX vs Auxane-BXDNM: how do they compare?

The two share a frame, a rating and a fit. They differ in the fabric on the sleeves and upper body, the shoulder straps and the colours.

Auxane-BX

Mackage calls the Auxane-BX the most fully appointed version of the family. The interior elastic shoulder straps are the main addition. The two colourways read very differently: the Black is a single tone, while the Off White-Black pairs the two shades in one suit.

Auxane-BXDNM

The Auxane-BXDNM in Medium Denim keeps the stretch nylon base and puts a 100% polyester denim on the sleeves and upper body. It is not a cotton jean; it is a synthetic fabric with a denim face, labelled water repellent and water resistant like the BX. Our guide to Mackage denim ski jackets covers the rest of the denim pieces.

Is a one-piece ski suit better than a jacket and pants?

A one-piece keeps snow out of the gap at the waist and gives one long, unbroken line, which is why suits photograph so well. A separate jacket and pants are easier to adjust through the day and to wear apart. The Auxane narrows the gap between the two, because its top jacket detaches.

If you prefer separates, the fitted Rayna-X ski jacket has the same minus 20C rating and a removable fox collar, and it pairs with the Gia-R fitted ski suspenders. Our comparison of Mackage women’s ski jackets sets out all four jacket styles. For a wider edit across brands, see our guide to women’s ski suits.

Is the Mackage ski suit waterproof?

No. Both Auxane suits are labelled water repellent and water resistant, with water-resistant zippers at the centre front and pockets. Neither product page gives a waterproof rating in millimetres, and neither mentions a waterproof membrane. For long days in heavy wet snow, a shell with a stated waterproof rating is the safer choice. Our explainer on waterproof ratings shows what the numbers mean.

Does the Mackage ski suit have RECCO?

Yes. Both the Auxane-BX and the Auxane-BXDNM list RECCO technology. RECCO is a passive reflector that rescuers can locate with a detector; it needs no power and no activation, and it is not a substitute for an avalanche transceiver. Read What is RECCO? for how it works.

How does the Mackage ski suit fit?

The Auxane is cut in Mackage’s fitted block, its signature fit and the closest to the body. It is designed to be worn with light layers, and Mackage recommends sizing up for heavier layering. The model on the product pages is 175 cm (5 ft 9 in) and wears a size S. Sizes run from XXS to 3XL.

A one-piece has to fit your torso length as well as your chest and hips, so check the measurements in the Mackage size guide before you order. For what to wear underneath, our guide to layering for skiing goes through the options.

How do you wash a Mackage ski suit?

The labels treat the top and the bottom separately. Both halves wash inside out at no more than 30C on a delicate cycle with mild detergent, and both tumble dry on low until fully dry; the label adds tennis balls for the top. Take the fur collar and any removable trims off first. Mackage advises against dry cleaning the top. Our full guide to cleaning a Mackage coat covers down, fur and leather.

How to wear it off the slopes

The Off White-Black Auxane with the collar on is a complete apres-ski outfit with a pair of snow boots and dark glasses. The denim version works with tonal cream knitwear and a shearling boot. For more ideas, see our apres-ski outfit guide, and for colder evenings in town, the Mackage long down coats. The Mackage warmth ratings guide shows where minus 20C sits across the whole range.

Frequently asked questions

Does Mackage make ski suits?

Yes. For winter 2026/27 Mackage makes the Auxane ski suit in two versions: the Auxane-BX in performance fabric and the Auxane-BXDNM in denim. Earlier Mackage ski suits include the Satory-GLO and the Elle-ZR.

How warm is the Mackage Auxane ski suit?

Mackage rates both Auxane ski suits to minus 20C (minus 4F). They are filled with 90% down and 10% feathers and have a detachable powder skirt and storm cuffs with thumb holes to keep heat in.

Does the Mackage Auxane ski suit have real fur?

Yes. The removable collar on the Mackage Auxane-BX and Auxane-BXDNM is labelled “Fur: 100% fox”. The collar detaches, so the suit can also be worn without fur.

What is the difference between the Mackage Auxane-BX and Auxane-BXDNM?

The Mackage Auxane-BX has polyurethane sleeves and upper body plus interior adjustable elastic shoulder straps, and comes in Black and Off White-Black. The Auxane-BXDNM swaps in a polyester denim on the sleeves and upper body and adds a branded storm placket. Rating, fill, fit and fox collar are the same.

Should you size up in a Mackage ski suit?

Mackage cuts the Auxane ski suit in its fitted block and recommends sizing up for heavier layering. The fitted cut is designed for light layers underneath. Check torso length against the size guide, since a one-piece has to fit top to bottom.

Is the Mackage ski suit waterproof?

No. Mackage labels the Auxane ski suits water repellent and water resistant, with water-resistant zippers, and gives no waterproof rating. For long days in heavy wet snow, a shell with a stated waterproof rating is the safer choice.
