Mackage Women’s Ski Jackets 2026: Rayna vs Iclyn vs Cataline vs Kairi

Mackage women’s ski jackets for winter 2026/27 come in four families, and the fitted ski jacket of the group is the Rayna, with a removable fox collar and a rating of minus 20C. Beside it sit the relaxed Iclyn in flannel and denim, the straight-cut Cataline in a textured novelty down fabric and the oversized, high-gloss Kairi. Shop them in the Mackage collection and our edit of women’s ski jackets, starting with the Rayna-X in Black.

Key Facts

  • Four styles this season: Rayna-X and Rayna-BX, Iclyn-FN and Iclyn-DNM, Cataline-WMK and Kairi-GLO.
  • Rayna, Iclyn and Cataline are rated to minus 20C (minus 4F). Kairi is rated to minus 15C (5F).
  • Fit runs from fitted (Rayna) through straight (Cataline) and relaxed (Iclyn) to oversized (Kairi).
  • RECCO reflectors are listed on Rayna, Iclyn and Cataline. The Kairi product page does not mention RECCO.
  • All four are filled with 90% down and 10% feathers. Only the Rayna has fur: a removable collar labelled “Fur: 100% fox”.
  • Mackage describes its ski shells as water resistant and water repellent. None carries a waterproof rating.

Which Mackage women’s ski jacket should you choose?

Start with fit, because it decides what you can wear underneath. The Rayna is cut close to the body for a base layer and a thin mid layer. The Iclyn is loose enough for a fleece. The Cataline sits in between, and the Kairi is deliberately roomy. Warmth is close across the four, so the choice comes down to silhouette, fabric and fur at the collar.

Style Fit Warmth rating Shell Length Stand-out features

Rayna-X and Rayna-BX: the fitted ski jacket with a fox collar

The Rayna is the most complete jacket in the group. It has quilted sleeves, zip sleeve vents with gussets, a detachable powder skirt, active storm cuffs with thumb holes, waist tabs for cinching, interior adjustable elastic shoulder straps and water-resistant zippers. The shell is a stretch blend of 84% polyamide and 16% elastane, which is what lets a fitted cut move on a chairlift.

X and BX: what changes

The two product pages list the same features and the same composition. What changes is the colour: black for the Rayna-X, off white and red for the Rayna-BX. Coveti carries the Rayna-BX in Off White and the Rayna-X in Black.

The fur collar

The collar is listed as “Fur: 100% fox” and it is removable, so the jacket also works without it. Our guide to Mackage coats with fur explains how to read the labels across the range. The care label asks you to take the fur off before washing; the jacket itself can go in a domestic machine at no more than 40C.

Iclyn-FN and Iclyn-DNM: relaxed, with a storm visor hood

The Iclyn is one jacket in two fabrics. Both versions have a storm visor hood, a detachable powder skirt, branded silicone adjustable tabs, a quilted down lining, water-resistant zippers and RECCO. Both are cut relaxed, which Mackage describes as designed to be worn with heavier layers, and both reach 67 cm from shoulder to hem.

Flannel

The Iclyn-FN in Grey Mix has a flannel face for a soft, suiting-like look. The composition label reads 100% recycled polyester, so this is a synthetic flannel rather than a wool cloth.

Denim

The Iclyn-DNM in Medium Denim is a technical denim with thick contrast thread stitches. Its shell is 100% polyester, labelled water repellent and water resistant. We look at how this fabric behaves on the mountain in Mackage denim ski jackets. Both Iclyn versions wash at 30C on a delicate cycle.

Cataline-WMK: a straight cut in a textured fabric

The Cataline is the shortest jacket here at 54 cm, so it sits around the hip and pairs well with high-waisted ski pants and suspenders. Mackage calls the shell a novelty down fabric; it is 100% polyester with a textured surface. The jacket has water-resistant zippers at the centre front and pockets, RECCO, a detachable powder skirt, active storm cuffs with thumb holes and an adjustable storm visor hood with down fill. The fit is straight, and Mackage suggests sizing up for heavier layering. It comes in Black and Off White.

Kairi-GLO: the oversized high-gloss jacket

The Kairi is the statement piece. Its shell is 100% polyurethane with a high-gloss finish and chevron stripes, and Mackage calls it a recycled down ski jacket. It has a removable hood, a snow skirt, storm cuffs with thumb loops, elasticized cuffs and hem, a hidden zipper at the sleeve and water-resistant zippers. The details list it as water resistant, repellent and windproof, and it is machine washable at 30C on a delicate cycle.

It is rated to minus 15C, one step less than the other three. Because the cut is oversized, Mackage suggests sizing down for petite frames and for a closer fit. Shop it in Carbon and Taupe.

Are Mackage ski jackets waterproof?

No. Mackage uses the words water resistant and water repellent for its FW26 ski jackets, and fits them with water-resistant zippers. None of the product pages gives a waterproof rating in millimetres, and none mentions a waterproof membrane. Some AI search answers call Mackage ski pieces waterproof; the brand’s own pages do not. If you ski in wet snow, read our explainer on waterproof ratings before you choose.

Do Mackage women’s ski jackets have RECCO?

The Rayna-X, Rayna-BX, Iclyn-FN, Iclyn-DNM and Cataline-WMK all list RECCO technology. The Kairi-GLO page does not. RECCO is a passive reflector that needs no power and no activation, and it does not replace an avalanche transceiver. Our guide What is RECCO? covers how rescuers use it.

How should a Mackage ski jacket fit?

Each product page states the fit and how to size for it:

  • Fitted (Rayna): Mackage’s signature fit, closest to the body, designed for light layers. Size up for heavier layering.
  • Straight (Cataline): a classic fit for heavier layers. Mackage still suggests sizing up if you layer heavily.
  • Relaxed (Iclyn): a loose fit designed for heavier layers, with no advice to size up.
  • Oversized (Kairi): roomy by design. Size down for petite frames and for a closer fit.

Women’s sizes run from XXS to 3XL. The Mackage size guide has the measurements, and our guide to layering for skiing explains what to wear underneath.

What to wear with a Mackage ski jacket

For a matching look, Mackage’s own bottoms are the Gia-R fitted ski suspenders and the Nyomi-R ski pant. If you would rather wear one piece, the Auxane suit shares the Rayna’s fox collar and minus 20C rating; see Mackage ski suits. To compare warmth with the city coats, the Mackage warmth ratings guide lists every style. For other labels, our round-up of the best women’s ski jackets includes Perfect Moment, Bogner and Fusalp.

Frequently asked questions

Is Mackage good for skiing?

Yes. Mackage’s FW26 women’s ski jackets are filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, rated to minus 15C to minus 20C, and built with ski features such as detachable powder skirts, storm hoods and water-resistant zippers. The Rayna, Iclyn and Cataline also carry RECCO reflectors. They are water resistant rather than waterproof.

Which Mackage women’s ski jacket is the warmest?

The Mackage Rayna-X, Rayna-BX, Iclyn-FN, Iclyn-DNM and Cataline-WMK share the warmest rating in the group, minus 20C (minus 4F). The Kairi-GLO is rated to minus 15C (5F). Pick between the minus 20C styles on fit and fabric.

Does the Mackage Rayna ski jacket have real fur?

Yes. The Mackage Rayna-X and Rayna-BX have a removable collar labelled “Fur: 100% fox”. The Iclyn, Cataline and Kairi ski jackets list no fur in their composition. Take the collar off before you wash the jacket.

Should you size up in a Mackage ski jacket?

Size up in the fitted Mackage Rayna and the straight Cataline if you plan to wear a thick mid layer. The relaxed Iclyn is already cut for heavier layers. Mackage suggests sizing down in the oversized Kairi for petite frames and for a closer fit.

Are Mackage ski jackets waterproof?

No. Mackage describes its FW26 ski jackets as water resistant and water repellent and fits them with water-resistant zippers. No Mackage ski jacket page gives a waterproof rating, so treat them as water resistant in wet snow.

Can you machine wash a Mackage ski jacket?

Most can be machine washed, following the label. The Mackage Rayna washes at up to 40C on a normal setting with the fur removed, the Cataline at up to 40C, and the Iclyn and Kairi at 30C on a delicate cycle. Tumble dry on low until fully dry.
