Ulla Johnson Pre-Spring 2027: The Collection Edit
Ulla Johnson Pre-Spring 2027 is the label’s newest collection, built on jacquard knits finished with fringe, eyelets and scalloping, seven named florals on silk chiffon and crepe de chine, satin-faced georgette slips trimmed with Chantilly lace, striped cotton poplin and stretch denim. Coveti carries 76 pieces from the drop across dresses, tops, skirts and trousers on the Ulla Johnson brand page, and if you bought from the Fall 2026 edit, this is its lighter, warmer counterpart.

What defines Ulla Johnson Pre-Spring 2027?
Five families of fabric run through the whole collection, and once you can spot them the rails make sense.
Jacquard knits with fringe, eyelets and scalloping
The knits carry the most invention. The Noir and Gardenia jacquard, a cotton and polyester blend in black and gardenia white, is worked in wave-like stripes and finished with fringe: a tiered fringed skirt on the Nadine dress, mini fringe on the Vida top and fringe falling to the hem of the Evelina skirt. A compact viscose knit in black, deep mustard Topaz and Cowrie ivory carries lace-like floral motifs and scalloped edges. A third knit, in garnet red and champagne cream, is punched with columns of geometric eyelets. Our Ulla Johnson knitwear guide covers every one.
Silk chiffon prints and their names
The prints each have a name, and knowing them makes shopping quicker. Acacia is small pale yellow blooms on cream, on satin-faced chiffon. Amaranthus is dark floral bouquets in garnet and rose, Jasmine is bouquets on cream with fine mint lines, and Primrose is a rust and coral floral; all three sit on silk crinkle chiffon, which is chiffon heat-set into fine permanent creases (our crinkle chiffon explainer goes further). Calla Lily, with coral blooms and green leaves on cream, Botanica, painted leaves on black, and Azalea, a pink and red floral, are printed on silk crepe de chine.
Chantilly lace slips
Several pieces pair airy silk chiffon with a slip of satin-faced georgette and finish the edges in Chantilly lace, the fine bobbin lace named after the French town, with outlined motifs on a sheer net ground. Look for the Ethel dress in ballet pink, the Imogen dress in black and the Delphina skirt in pale hydrangea blue. Our guide to what Chantilly lace is explains why it reads so delicate.
Striped poplin and stretch denim
The daytime side of the drop is yarn-dyed cotton poplin in a fawn and cream stripe and an ecru and navy stripe, all machine washable. Denim, handcrafted in Los Angeles, comes as two high-rise flared jeans and the Lisbet midi skirt in a dark indigo wash. See Ulla Johnson denim for fits.

10. The Lisbet Denim Skirt in Tigris
The Lisbet Denim Skirt in a dark indigo wash, a tapered midi with gold hardware and a subtle slit, to wear with the print blouses.
How to wear the collection
Pre-Spring is a between-seasons drop, so most pieces are made for layering now and wearing alone later. A few ways in:
- Wear the knit sets as sets. The Vida top with the Evelina skirt reads as a dress, and both pieces work alone.
- Pair one print with a plain piece: the Vesela blouse in Primrose with the black Samira skirt, the Ornament blouse in Acacia with denim.
- Put a knit over silk. The Carmen pullover over a chiffon midi skirt gives the print a heavier anchor.
- Keep the Chantilly lace pieces simple, with fine jewellery and a flat sandal, and let the trim do the talking.
