What is new from Yves Salomon this winter?

Three ideas run through the new Yves Salomon pieces. The first is removability. Fox collars button off wool coats, mink bibs press-stud off down jackets, and some jackets come with matching mittens that detach. One coat works from October to February.

The second is reversibility. Toscana and Lacon shearling coats turn from leather side to woolly side, and several mink jackets reverse to a water-repellent technical face. You buy one piece and wear two.

The third is fabric. Some of the down jackets are cut in Loro Piana cashmere with the Storm System membrane, and others in Loro Piana technical flannel, so they look like tailoring and behave like a puffer. The palette stays in the house range: camel, brown, khaki, black and grey, with bordeaux and dark teal as the accents.
