Totême hats, beanies, headbands and gloves: the winter accessories

Totême makes a short winter set to go with its coats: a beanie, a headband and a pair of gloves, all plain, all in the house neutrals. The beanies are rib-knitted cashmere, brushed cashmere and lambswool; the shearling winter hat is the warmest piece; the headbands come in cashmere and wool, compact knit and stretch monogram jersey; the gloves are cashmere and silk-lined lamb leather, including an extra-long pair that reaches past the elbow. In summer the paper sun hat takes over. 14 pieces on Coveti, $360 to $980, median $450. This page is each one, the sizes and how to wear them.

  • 14 pieces on Coveti, $360 to $980, median $450
  • Beanies: cashmere, brushed cashmere, lambswool (almond, sage, vintage blue)
  • Shearling winter hat: lamb shearling, XS/S and M/L

The beanies

Three knits, one shape. The cashmere beanie is rib-knitted from fine cashmere; the brushed cashmere beanie has a softer, hazier surface; the lambswool beanie comes in the colours, almond, sage and vintage blue, as well as black. All three are one size and hand wash cool.

The shearling winter hat

The warmest piece in the set, in lamb shearling, in black and in black with off-white. It comes in two sizes, XS/S and M/L; take the larger pair for a looser fit over the ears. Take it to a leather and fur specialist to clean.

The headbands

Worn with the hair back under a coat collar. The cashmere headband is a wool and cashmere blend; the compact knit headband is a light stretch jersey; the monogram and pointelle monogram headbands are stretch knits with the house monogram.

The gloves

The cashmere and brushed cashmere gloves are one size. The leather gloves are lamb leather lined in silk, in S, M and L; the extra-long leather gloves reach 66 cm, past the elbow, to wear with a short-sleeved coat and under a cape. Bordeaux is the colour this winter.

The paper sun hat

The summer hat: 70% paper and 30% polyester, light and packable, with an internal browband. Keep it dry and do not fold it.

How to wear the set

Keep the beanie, the gloves and the scarf within a shade of each other and let the coat do the rest. The coats and scarves pages have the pieces they are made to go with.
