Crepe is the house cloth. It holds a floor-length column without stiffening, takes a fitted bodice, a cape and a cascading skirt equally, carries placed embroidery, and it is the fabric of the Spring Summer 2026 gowns with their plunging V-necks and attached capes. Crepe georgette is the lighter, sheerer version used for the kaftan capes and the halter-neck dresses. Why crepe first
