Saiid Kobeisy history timeline: 2000 to 2026, year by year
Saiid Kobeisy publishes its own history as a list of dated milestones, which is unusual for a couture house and useful for a shopper, because it means the story below is checkable line by line against the source. This page walks the timeline from 2000 to 2026, adds the couture shows and the red-carpet appearances the house does not list, and ends with what each period looks like in the ready-to-wear at Coveti, where the older collections are still on sale beside the new.
“The first Saiid Kobeisy boutique opens in Beirut, Lebanon, and is home to the first Ready-to-Wear Line,” the house records against the year 2010 on its timeline. “Adorned by a firm reputation amongst fashion patrons, the Saiid Kobeisy signature silhouette is found and integrated in the Ready-to-Wear collection.”

2000 to 2005: the private clients and the first collection
The house dates itself from 2000, when Saiid Kobeisy “starts designing for private clientele.” The atelier came two years later, in Beirut, and the timeline describes the silhouette of those first years as “regal volumes and unmatched elegance,” which is to say the cascading skirt and the fitted bodice were there from the start. The Beirut showroom opened in 2005 with the first couture collection, the point at which a private dressmaker became a house.
2010 to 2015: ready-to-wear, Dubai and bridal
The first boutique opened in Beirut in 2010 and with it the first ready-to-wear line, the house recording that its “signature silhouette is found and integrated in the Ready-to-Wear collection.” That sentence is the reason a Coveti shopper can buy a cape gown off the rail: the ready-to-wear was conceived as sized couture, not as a diffusion line. Dubai followed in 2012, “the rising fashion hub” in the house’s words, and the first bridal collection in 2015.
“Inspired by the extravagant reveries of the amorous bride, Saiid Kobeisy releases his first bridal collection, fusing dreams and reality into gowns inspiring romance and grandeur,” the house writes against 2015 on its timeline.
2017 to 2020: the wider world
By 2017 the house counted more than 35 countries and over 130 points of sale, which is the scale of a serious regional eveningwear label rather than a global brand. Farfetch came in 2019 and the Dubai Design District store in 2020, described as holding couture, ready-to-wear and bridal “with a dedicated lounge space for Custom Made creations.”
2024: Paris and the new Beirut headquarters
2024 is the year the house changed shape. The Paris showroom on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré gave it a European base and a permanent address on the couture calendar, and the new Beirut Central District headquarters brought the showroom, the studio and the atelier under one roof. Everything the house has shown since has come out of those two addresses.
“Saiid Kobeisy expands its global footprint with the grand opening of its first European showroom in the heart of Paris,” the house writes against 2024. The Store Locator places it on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, alongside the Riyadh, Dubai Design District and Beirut Central District showrooms.
2025 to 2026: the couture shows and the red carpet
Fashion Week Online covered The Warrior, the Fall Winter 2025 couture collection, on 14 July 2025, noting that it was the first to run across womenswear and menswear. Jennifer Lopez wore the house to the New York premiere of Good Night, and Good Luck on 3 April 2025. The Spring Summer 2026 couture collection was shown in Paris on 27 January 2026, and Sheryl Lee Ralph wore a gown from it to the 2026 Actor Awards on 1 March. Haute Couture News covered Passage Privé, the Fall Winter 2026 couture, on 3 August 2026. The couture week page takes each show in turn.
The timeline in the ready-to-wear
Coveti carries nine seasons of Saiid Kobeisy ready-to-wear at once, from Fall Winter 2023 to Spring Summer 2026, and the periods read differently on the rail. The 2023 and 2024 pieces are the neoprene, mikado and printed-crepe years, more colour-blocked and more structured; 2025 is the year of the embroidered tulle and the capes; Spring Summer 2026 brings the new house shades, Reed, Salsa Rosa, North Sea and Cactus Flower, on crepe and lace with crystal.
